Description
In 1950 the Flying Scotsman ceased to be a non-stop service. However, in this poster of the same period, the newly established British Railways was keen to show that peacetime speeds were returning to the railways. The poster shows an illustration of the Flying Scotsman with a timetable of services between London King's Cross, Grantham, Newcastle and Edinburgh Waverley.
'The Flying Scotsman', BR poster, 1950.
