Print by Terence Cuneo (1907-1996), produced in 1962 as a pastiche of the famous painting of 1862 entitled 'The Railway Station' by William Frith. Cuneo's version of the painting depicts railway pasengers as mice in Victorian dres, on a busy station platform with a steam locomotive seen behind them. Cuneo studied at the Slade and Chelsea schools of art in London. He was a prolific painter and his compositions included portraits, ceremonial and military subjects, in addition to artwork for railway posters.
