The second of six black and white photographs entitled 'A picnic at the river Bzib about 40 versts from Gagra'. The photograph shows, from left to right, Captain Koulikovsky, H. H. Prince Nikita Alexandrovitch, H. I. H The Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna, Mr Scriabine, Miss Kossikovsky and Madame Staroselsky sat having a picnic. Taken by Herbert Galloway Stewart in Georgia, formerly part of Russia, between November 1913 and July 1914.From a snapshot album of the , formerly part of Russian Imperial Royal Family, compiled by Herbert Galloway Stewart; album number 10, page 4. A collection of 22 annotated albums of snapshots taken between 1908 and the Russian Revolution by Herbert Galloway Stewart. The albums feature members of the Russian Royal Family, taken mainly in St Petersburg and the Crimea and in various locations around Europe. The albums were compiled by Herbert Galloway Stewart, who was employed by the Grand Duchess Xenia (1875-1960) as a tutor for her son, Prince Andrew Alexandrovitch Romanoff (1897-1981). The albums form a part of the Ricketts Collection, a collection of prints, albums, ephemera and objects assembled by Howard and Jane Ricketts. The Collection concentrates mainly on 19th century British photography, but is also rich in documentary, topographic and ethnographic photography from around the world. Album 8, May to August 1912.
